There were only three floppy sizes: 400K (single-sided, only used on
_very_ early Macs), 800K (widely-used), and 1.44MB after the introduction
of the FDHD drive in the Mac SE.

The Mac LC II has a "FDHD" drive, and is capable of all of these formats.

IIRC, there are lots of disk copy utilities for the Mac which only require
one drive, since Mac memory is fully capable of storing the entire
content of a disk.

Your single-drive Mac LC II would be a fine copying platform.
