Both ProBASIC and Z BASIC seem to be quite a bit more versatile than
AppleSoft, though that's based on reading the docs as opposed to
actually using them ;-)
Beagle Bros did an AppleSoft compiler didn't they? Can't remember what
it's called.
My GS BASIC disk takes about 3 or 4 hours to boot, so I've never even
gave it a second look.
