My (non-technical) instinct would be to yank the internal floppy, stuff
in the HD and then rewire the external floppy port to S6,D1... I'm
betting it's a bit more complicated than that though...

Probably the biggest benefit to having mass storage on a //c (or //c+
???) would be the additional portability of the unit. Combine that with
an internal power supply and a small LCD monitor and I'll be on the road
with the Merry Pranksters in no time ;-)
...now if I could just get a damned modem to work with one of these
things...
