You can transfer the files using a direct connection between your Mac or
PC and your IIgs-- like from PC COM2 to the IIgs Modem port. It's called a
"NULL modem" (no modem) connection. The software involved is just a telecom
program running on each machine.
Once the .sdk, .dsk, .2mg, or whatever files are transferred, you can use
the appropriate IIgs software to convert the files to diskette. In some cases,
like for .shk file archives, you will be uncompressing an archive and moving
files to a formatted ProDOS diskette or to hard disk.
