Until my drive died, I was running my ROM 01 machine with a high-speed
SCSI card in Slot 1. The one problem I had with that is that the HS-SCSI
card will only delay startup in certain slots, so on a cold boot I usually
had to let the machine crash, then do a 3-finger salute to get it going
because the boot cycle would time out before the drive was ready. I have
another solution for that; the TransWarp IIgs card has a nifty little
startup animation that is *just* long enough to delay startup long enough
to get the drive going. Only trouble is, my TWGS isn't stable enough to
use. 8-)
I gotta put this system back together again. Where did I put that
candidate SCSI drive.........
