Put your Focus in Slot 7, chain the floppies off the SmartPort, and you'll
have Focus in 7, 5.25 in 6, and 3.5 in 5.
Yeah, I did that, which necessitated moving my Apple HS SCSI card to
Slot 1 or 2 from Slot 7. Everything works when I do that, except the
SCSI card. Switching to "Your Card" doesn't help, either.
If you have a ROM 01 and you are using AppleTalk, put the Focus in Slot 1
(if you are AppleTalking over the printer port) or Slot 2 (if you are
AppleTaking over the modem port) and set your startup slot to wherever you
put the Focus unless you want to boot from the floppies.
Got a ROM03
If you have a ROM 03, put the Focus in Slot 7.
If you want to switch off which drive you boot from, find a program called
ProBoot...I want to say it's one of Sheppy's creations but I am not sure
right now. I tried it, but discovered that if I really wanted to boot
from a floppy it was just as easy to hit RESET a couple of times and do a
PR#n.
I don't really need to boot from the 5.25", at least not often - it
would just be nice to have one attached to the IIgs so I can access
certain floppies I still have.
