Appleworks has always had the ability to print out structured text files.
I have used AW5.1 for so long now I forget what versions had what
features, but I think they all can print out tab-delimited files (at least
v3 thru v5.1)  AW5.1 can print a text file with about any field separator
you want (as well as create a db file from any such text file).

I move db files between AW5.1 and MS Excel all the time, as well as
to/from other non MS programs.  In fact, AW5.1 is usually my intermediary
whenever I move files between various Mac pgms.  Copy/paste doesn't always
work as intended between Mac programs.
