Stop reposting the whole message thread

I get tired of scrolling down a long reply only to find one line of 
commend relating to only one line of the message thread.

If you have a comment, do not repost (quote) the whole damn message 
thread when you reply.  Please take a second and quote a refrence line 
or paragraph and then your comment.  I've already read the thread and 
the follow up comments and most newsgroup reading programs allow me to 
go back and see the WHOLE thread if I need or want.
