Why?  No other newsgroup is set up that way.  The whole object behind a FAQ
is to periodically answer the most frequently-asked questions in the place
where those questions are asked.

If the FAQ postings bother you, killfile them.  If you want to complain
about noise in the Apple II newsgroups, complain about the massive offtopic
postings in comp.binaries.apple2. :-P
