Are you sure it's the disks and not the drive, i.e., have you tested the
disks in a separate drive?
5.25" DD disks tend to be quite reliable IME -- I've had most of mine
stored (dry, protected from dust, at room temperature) from ca. 1992 to
2001, and had failure rates of about 1-2%. So if all disks appear
damaged, my first guess would be the drive.
