The IIgs has two problems accessing AppleShare volumes on NT4 and
Windows 2000 Servers.

1. The standard IIgs AppleTalk CDEV will not allow you to login as
demonstrated above. Use Marsha's hacked version instead -- it will
allow logins although the password is sent as ClearText over the
network.

2. The NT4 or 2000 Server may not be consistently listed in the IIgs
"Chooser" unless you have an AppleTalk seed router on your network to
supply zone information. The seed router can be a hardware router (eg
GatorBox or FastPath) or the AppleTalk routing service in NT/2000
Server. Apple's LocalTalk Bridge (or the identical Sonic product) is
not sufficient to provide AppleTalk zone seeding.

More information at http://www.mandrake.demon.co.uk/Apple/ltalk. One
day I'll get round to amalgamating all of the IIgs related stuff into
one place.
