Multiprocessor 65816???

I read WDC 65816 datasheet that Memory Lock is used for multiprocessor.
It looks like two 65816 CPU share one 16MB memory. If first and second
instruction run at the same time by accessing RWB, first instruction must
finish RWB before second instruction gets turn to access RWB.
What is VDA and VPA used for? I realize that they must never be used
for Apple II, II+, //c, or //e if they use disk operation. I don't know
about Apple IIgs.
I am surprised that there is no virtual memory existence for Apple IIgs
since Abort feature is available. Do you think that GS/OS can implment to
use Abort feature so visual memory can be enabled?
I wonder why COP instruction is never used. It may be useful for
floating.
