The ZipGS card takes the square package of the '816 chip. There was a
discussion thread a few months ago because WDC now makes a version that can
be clocked to ~24-25 MHz and which is used in the C-One computer (i.e. the
brainchild of Jeri Ellsworth). While one MHz might not make a big
difference, 20 MHz would.
I'd love to find out just how fast the IIgs could move with one of the new
816 chips in a Transwarp or Zip accelerator.
