The problem with Contiki is not a timing interrupt source--
that's a fairly small technical problem that may not even
be necessary.  The problem is that no one has been willing
to devote enough time to doing the port.

I suspect that the cost of the LANceGS is part of the problem,
too, since most //e owners see it as too expensive for the benefit
that they are likely to receive from it.

It is a classic "chicken and egg" problem, exacerbated by the
relatively small pool of potentially interested buyers.
