It would allow you to do bitmapped animation at faster speeds than what you
get with a simple framebuffer display...in addition to telling it where you
want it to draw a sprite, some of them will also do collision detection and
other stuff that would've been useful in games.  The chip used in this card
was the same one that handled the graphics in the TI-99/4A back in the day.
