Not printing or printing odd characters can be symptoms of incorrect switch setting. The dip switches should be set for the printer attached. For the Deskjet try on off off on Also a number of programs reqire different settings for different printers. If you want to see if your hardware itself is working you can send your keyboard output to the printer. Assuming your grappler is in slot one. Then in basic type PR#1 and then hit return. After that if you type something when you hit return it'll be sent directly to the printer. Wayne
