Hello all! I've been out of touch for a while, in part due to my
university's Usenet access drying up without any announcement to its
users. Accordingly, I'll be checking news from this account, but my
university account remains my main choice, so will be checked more
often for e-mail, and will remain the location of my Web site.
The other reason why I've been out of touch, though, is that I've been
quite busy at work on a project. That project is now complete, and I'm
pleased to announce its official release to the world at large. It's a
game for one or two players called 'Sparks', and it bears some similarity
to the 'Light Cycles' game from 'Tron', although it also has some
important differences. It should run on any Apple II with ProDOS; a
colour monitor is recommended but not necessary. As always, I'll be
interested to learn of your reactions to it, but especially any bug
reports or suggestions for improvements.
The game is at http://web.pdx.edu/~heiss/software/sparks.html . Enjoy!
Aaron Heiss
