Compare Atari and Apple II

Atari was competing against Apple II by adding 128 colors, but it does
not have higher than 160x192 resolution. Do you think that Apple Corp, Inc
feels sorry that it can only limit up to 16 colors. Do you think that 128
colors are not important? Why Apple IIgs can only display 16 colors out of
4096 colors instead of 256 colors out of 4096 colors?
Do you truly wish to add 256 colors on Apple II? Will it be forced to
design video controller card that supports 256 colors in slot 7? It will be
neat to have 256 colors on 560x192 resolution for best games like Nintendo
16 (using 65816). What is the diference that Atari uses NTSC port that can
display 128 colors? If NTSC is to be video port, why Nintendo 16 still have
256 colors that works fine for TV, but Apple II doesn't?
What about CommodoreOne that has 65816? Does it support 256 colors? I
am curious.
