I don't know enough about monitors to argue the point.  All I know is that when
I sprayed the stuff on "something that I remember as being the flyback
transformer" the picture came back to normal from a single horizontal line
across the middle of the screen.  But it was more than twenty years ago and I
won't bet my paycheck that my memory is perfect.
