Actually, after doing a bit of checking, the Atari ST used an identical
cable for their MegaFile HDs and those cables are quite common and still
available from Atari ST dealers. You can ask on the internet newsgroup
'comp.sys.atari.st' for the pinouts of that cable.
Then do a test on your cable with a 'buzzer' meter. When you make a
contact, the buzzer on the meter will give you an audible confirmation.
This should allow you to ascertain the poinout for the IIc cable. If the
cables are simple straight-throughs, as many of these type cables are,
then an ST HD cable might be a good replacement. If not, you might be
able to re-pin it as the connectors are identical.
