He seems to think that interest in the Apple II ended
in 1983 with the Apple II Plus.

In fact, many of us diehard Apple II users stuck with
the platform until the end. My IIGS was bought in
1990 a year after the ROM 3 model was introduced
in 1989 at the full retail price of the unit and I was
not alone. The popularity of the Apple II really did
last that long. The IIGS sold itself from 1986 up to
the point it was dropped from the price list in the
early 1990s.

The point of my original post was that Apple made
a bad business decision when they neglected the
Apple II line to death. Anonymous can whine all
he likes about how it was just me, but then how
could InCider/A+ last until the early 1990s if there
were not many many diehard Apple II users.

No, if he thinks I am the isolated Apple II fanatic
and Apple lost little in terms of users by what
it did to the Apple II platform, he really does know
little about the Apple II.
