I can't comment on the rest of your post (even though I strongly suspect
it to be wrong), but this is complete bullshit.
When you re-format a partition as FAT or NTFS (or ext2, ext3, Reiser,
you name it), everything in that partition gets overwritten; there is
simply no place to store OS X privilege information. As for the
partition table: I don't think MS-DOS, Win2K or Linux versions of fdisk
care about OS X-Specific parameters there, especially once you changed
the partition type.
Besides, you are in the wrong group.
