IIRC Apple made some monitors in the early 90s that would work with either a
Mac or an Apple IIgs. I remember one monitor even had integrated ADB ports
that supposedly worked with a IIgs, so you could plug your keyboard and
mouse into the monitor instead of the IIgs--I'm not sure why that would be
useful though.
