He used Marat's CPU core.  Unfortunately, until recently there were
bugs in ADC/SBC in that code.  (It affected old versions of Dapple)

I'm familiar with that bug, and that was the problem. :\  Too bad he
didn't release the source - hacking it to use the newer M6502 or
Dapple M65C02 - both of which correct the bug - would be trivial.
