This part is easy. We have been spoiled by the built-in mixers
on our PC sound cards so we forget how it was done in the
olden days.
Go to Radio Shack, grab a two channel stereo mixer. Plug
the IIGS sound output into one of the mixer's inputs. Plug
the CD-ROM RCA outputs into the other mixer input. Plug
the speakers into the mixer output. Play with the sliders
to equalize the volume between the IIGS and the CD-ROM
drive.
Easy. Should cost about $25 for the mixer.
