The year 2000 problem is fixable with a patch. Just tell us which version of
AppleWorks you are using. This should be visible on the splash screen, before
the date entry screen. If it goes by so fast you can't see the version, you can
also see it at the bottom of the Help screen (press OA-? for Help). Each
version of AppleWorks prior to v3.0 has a different startup patch for years
after 1999.
I don't know about the Ram card. What kind of Ram card is it? Are you using a
different AppleWorks that you have used in the past?
