I've used the ramfactor in both a ROM 1 and a ROM 3 with no difficulty.
Just make sure the slot you install it in is set to "Your Card". If you're using GSOS it'll show up on the desktop as a RAMdisk. If you're 
running ProDOS 8 then it'll show up as a RAMdisk in whatever slot you
have it in.

The ramfactor isn't a particularly fast card. If you have a hard drive,
it may be faster than the ramfactor. The ramfast SCSI card with a fast
hard drive easily beats the ramfactor. I never tried comparing the
ramfactor with other SCSI or ide cards so I don't know how it compares
to them for speed.
