Re: Y2K ProDOS 8 (2.0.3)



A patch exists to force Prodos 8 v2.03 to run the years up to 127. However, at
the time it appeared, it was soundly condemned by those in the know (Apple
folks). The wierd thing was, it worked great. However, you could not share
files with other users because your file dates would be "illegal." There may
have been other irregularities as well.

It may be better to patch the programs you are running, not ProDos. Y2K patches
are avaialable for many Apple II programs, including those which list <nodate>
as the date. 

If you are interested in any of these patches, let us know what programs you
are running, and we will see if there is a fix.
