Hey all,
I have a mint condition original Apple ][ (revision zero motherboard, with
the strapping blocks and Woz's Integer BASIC in the ROMs) and also a very
good condition black Bell & Howell ][ Plus with matching drives. I got the
original Apple ][ from a guy in San Francisco back in 1997, so I'm
assuming my ][ spent most of it's life in California after rolling off the
Apple assembly line in '77, until I purchased it and got it shipped to
Canada. I know that it was used to run a BBS system during the 1980's in
the bay area, or so I was told by the previous owner. I also have an
inmaculate condition beige Apple ][ Plus, but I'm not so sure I want to
sell it off just yet unless I can be convinced otherwise.
I was thinking about putting them up on eBay for auction, considering what
I've seen other original ][ and black B&H ][ Plus machines go for,
however, before I do that, I wanted to make an inquiry here as this is
where the die hard Apple II'ers are who would most appreciate either of
these machines and give them a more than decent home. :)
Would anybody be willing to trade even up, one of my (or possibly both)
machines for say.....a loaded up good condition PowerBook 3400, or
PowerBook G3 (3500, a.k.a Kanga), PowerBook G3 series or better Apple
laptop? I thought I would ask, just in case anybody has one of these
slightly older PowerBook's sitting around as a spare unused, however I
would gladly trade even up for a brand new PowerBook G4 as well...or maybe
even a late model iBook... :)
Make me an offer and I might just go for it. :) In other words try me.
If you wanna trade your G3 series PowerBook or better for both my
machines, I'll even throw in a still shrinkwrapped original, never been
out of box, of Atarisoft's Donkey Kong on 5.25" disk for the ][, ][ Plus,
IIe.
Anyways,
My machines for trade are in perfect working order as well as excellent
cosmetic condition and also very very clean...especially the original
Apple ][.
(the B&H ][ Plus has the "3" keyswitch replaced with one that's not
original, so the "3" key sits at a slightly different angle than the rest
of the keys, but it's still perfectly usable for typing).
In the off chance that someone here might be interested in such a trade,
I'd be happy to scan in pictures that I've taken of these machines and
email them to ya, as well as answer any questions as best I can about
these machines.
I have a 100% positive feedback rating on eBay (after 30+ transactions
over the past two years), in case you would like to check out my
references and how I *always* deal honestly with others.
As a side note: I currently have the following in my Apple II collection:
Apple ][ (Woz's Integer BASIC in the ROM's, Rev 0 motherboard)
Apple ][ Plus (later model with the better keycaps)
Apple ][ Plus (black Bell & Howell, with the less fancy keycaps, black)
Apple //e 'enhanced'
Apple IIe 'extended' a.k.a. Platinum
Apple IIe emulation card for Mac
Apple //c
Apple IIc Plus
Apple IIgs ROM 01 (two of them actually)
Apple IIgs ROM 3
All machines are in awesome condition, except the ROM 3...it's case is
discolored, but the machine still works good. :)
