Well, Commodore also slashed prices of the C64 to mere $300 and the Vic-20 
to under $100 ($99). So Commodore was merely competitive to Coleco and in 
the long run took Coleco out of the water since by 1985/1986 the death of 
Atari (CBM's last fighting competitor in the low-end computer market) and 
its resurrection. This was one wild time.
