Assuming that when you turn it on you see on your monitor
Apple //c
Check Disk Drive

Then if you can restart it using the keyboard then at least part of the 
keyboard is working. Since Apple-Control-Reset are working if you use a 
Control-Reset, do you get a ] witha a flashing box on your monitor?
