Long distance isn't that big a deal, but in the meantime
I found a test mode in the software and used the modem to
call my cell phone. Although I haven't actually transferred
any bytes it all seems to work.

I have a fax line that sits idle in the night. Maybe I
should set up a BBS here myself.

Would anyone call a BBS running on an Apple IIe and an
Applecat modem?
