I remember there was a great application that ran on the IIe called
Publish-It by TimeWorks. It was more of a poorman's PageMaker. There was
also another application (forgot the name) that allowed you to create
newsletters, and it allowed you to not only combine text/graphics, but also
aligned text in columns.
