SoundMeister + AudioZap?

Does anyone know why I can't get my Econ Tech SoundMeister to work with
AudioZap 2.0?
I can record in DigitalStudio OK, but for some reason I can't get the mic to
respond at all in AudioZap - the oscilloscope is flatlined, and I can't
select SoundMeister in Preferences (it's ghosted out, even though my card is
in slot 4 and set to 'Your Card').
Any suggestions? I know the card works with AudioZap 2.0 (according to
Usenet posts by the author), but I can't seem to get it to record anything.
