Don't worry about the exposed trace--cards are full of exposed
connections.

The only problem that a trace can develop is an "open" due to a
deep scratch across its full width--very unlikely.  (Of course, if there
is solder or "mobile" wiring, then a short to a trace could be
created, but that probablity is even lower.)
