MFM isn't chosen so the PC can't. As for the Mac I don't know if it ever
had 5.25 inch drives. Any Mac that can read 800KB Mac disks should also
be able to read 800KB Apple II 3.5 inch disks as far as I know. At least
the disk is physically readable, you probably need some sort of ProDOS
file system driver to make sense of it. I'm not a MacPerson though.
