Bear in mind, if don't have a "reset key", located by itself above the
rest of the keyboard. Without one, you'll have trouble resetting the
computer, apart from turning it on/off all the time just to run other
programs.
The mouse would have to Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) one and can be connected on
either ends of the keyboard, depending on whether your left and right
handed - I must admit few keyboards have such a feature!

No idea what is wrong with the monitor, most likely that the transformer
has gone which are very expensive to replace. I had a monitor of mine, blow
up on me with a loud screeching noise!
