If you do a file-by-file backup with GS/ShrinkIt or create a disk image
with Sheppyware's ImageMaker, you can copy the disk images to your Mac
or PC and keep a backup that way.  (I have mine copied to CD-R as well).

It's also convenient to be able to access files on these volumes using
an emulator like KEGS or access software like ADFS or CiderPress.  XGS
will also work, though it has a bug in the smartport stuff that prevents
launching GS/OS from ProDOS 8.
