Your best bet would be the disk image format ".2MG" which is commonly used for
archiving Apple II 3.5inch 800Kb disks and then needs to be extracted onto another
disk. Most of 3.5inch disk images are for the Apple IIGS.
Unlike the ADT program, it requires you to manually transfer the file(s) over using
telecommunication software on either end. Unless, you have older-type Macintosh,
running "Exchange" (I've forgotten the name of it) program on System 6 or 7, it's
possible to read them in their disk drives, but only if formatted for ProDOS and
most are. However, the PC can't read/write to 800Kb disks, nor the Macintosh disks -
only high density diskettes (1.44Mb) which the Apple II won't recongise without
additional hardware, and I doubt that the PC can read/write to those high density
Apple II disks.
