i just picked up the following server for the apple // computer by digicard
..(specs later) essentially it is a appletalk type network from what i
gatther that can allow up to 96 //e's or //gs's to network via its scsi hd
inside..i also have an expansion module with a dc600 type archive brand scsi
tape backup..the model i have is a src2 version
(again full specs below)
what i guess i need is a digicard that goes into a //e or //gs to
communitcate with the main digicard server box...(got that)
a copy of some software called Mandrake to set up such
prob something to run the scsi tape drive
there is also a competing product from someplace called mastery development
(which i think works with this server..but maybe something like a sider?)
anyway..i found a hack for this defunct software on the net..but of course
need the actual program to use hack...
anyway just want to see if i can get this beast up..to play with for
jollies...maybe eventually if i ever get my site back up www.lost-gonzo.com
use it to network my apple // dos 3.3 bbs's from the 80's on the net
any help appreciated..in software or getting the beast up ..contact me via
email mrbrad@ll.net
or just continue the thread here
i also got a corvus setup i need to get up..but thats another problem..sigh
too many projects
