The rom3 let's you use some of the slots as setup in control rom and as
your card. For example I have a SCSI card in slot 4 and can use the mouse.
The rom1 can't do that. There are other things too like, rom1 has 256k ram
onboard and rom3 has 1 meg+ onboard. Other things differ as well, but I'm
not presently equipped to tell you what they are.

4 mb ram in a rom3 would be sufficient for most apps. AllTech has an 8 mb
card with 2 mb onboard, you can add 30 pin simms to attain the 8 mb.

Sure, take your time, there are plenty of them around, cheap too.
