For your information, an XT is not comparable to an Apple II. The
amount of software for the IBM in 1984 was about 50 packages while the
software for the Apple II was about 10,000 packages.
Also the AT was released in 1984 for about 3000$ (basic floppy
model). The Apple IIe at this time was barely 1000$ The clones could
be bought for less than 500$. 1985 brought the $999 //c and well, the
$399 Laser 128ex (//c clone)
You probably couldnt do much more than play wizardry on the XT. My
//e was running a major communications system, the lights in my house,
and also ran my BBS. So I would say, you got what you paid for
