What is needed is not the time of day, but a source of regular
timer interrupts. Some clock cards can provide such interrupts,
but I would expect that they are needed at around 60Hz, like VBL.

Any peripheral card with a 6522 (like a Mockingboard) can generate
such interrupts, as can a mouse card, or a //c or IIgs.
