Re: monitor on IIgs

I have a IIgs and when I connected an old Apple monitor to the "monitor" port the screen seemed to have the notice of ROM version, but warped. Before I could get that fixed the screen went dark. I have since tested the monitor of a PowerPC and it does work. Question is, there any reason that this monitor type should not function on a IIgs? I realize the monitor came out long after the last IIgs.

From what I remember from a couple of years ago, there was a discussion as to which monitors were compatible with the GS. Most Mac monitors are not compatible. You may want to wait around to see what the FAQs have to say.

FYI, if you're going to be in Winnipeg there is a place (or was last summer) with a whole lot of monitors (//e, GS) for sale.
