It is not a "browser" application--it is a Windows/MSIE application.
This is clear when viewing it in MSIE--it should also be easily seen
when viewing in even a text browser.

Contrary to the thread title, it is not in Java, but is a DirectX app,
and therefore platform-specific.

There is certainly a place for platform-specific applications, even on the
Web.  (Particularly considering the ubiquity of the platform for which it
is intended.)
