I have bought a few Telnet connectors. One side goes to the modem port of
the IIgs and the telnet box has 2 RJ type telephone sockets. I opened up
the box and found a small hybrib transformer in it. The transmit and
receive data go to the input of the xformer while the output goes to pin 3 &
4 of the RJ sockets. Both the RJ socket are multipled together pin one to
pin one.
5 3 1
2 4 6
the pinout of the socket is as on the right : o o o o o o
pin 5 and 6 are NC and pin 1 & 2 was connected to a 1K resistor on J2
(second RJ connector)
Can I make use of them to do networking between 2 IIgs? How is the
connections look like and what software can I use?
Allen.
