I had a deja vu when I saw this question, so went to the Usenet archive
site at www.deja.com and noticed that this exact same question had been
asked by you in 1996 and again in 1997, and there were almost 100
responses, including suggestions from the author's of Convert 3200 and at
one point, even Mike Westerfield popped in to describe his TIFF viewer.
In the deja search fields, I entered: Adalbert +convert
You might want to try the same search, to refresh your memory.
If it's the exact same 50k TIFF graphic you asked about in 1996 and in
1997, the answer remains the same. 5.9 megs of RAM are required to convert
that file, as it is very wide.
Re-reading those old questions/answers, I noticed that at the time you
purchased Convert 3200, you didn't even have the minimum required 2 megs
that Convert 3200 requires, so I have to ask: Did you ever add that extra
RAM?
