Howdy folks

I'm an Atari 8 bit user and I'ld like to know if there are utilities
available for your computers that will either play *.MOV files directly or
convert them into something that will run on your computers.

In the Apple// world I'm unaware of a Quicktime player. I'm pretty sure the clockspeed of the fastet Apple// (14MHz with a hacked Transwarp accelerator is the last I've heard about) is just a little too slow for this. I do remember hearing abour being able to convert them to something. I don't know the details.

FYI, There is a program called MPlayer which works with Linux. It can play virtually any kind of video as long as the proper codec is installed. This includes Quicktime files as of a couple of months ago. Since it is open source, you can probably adapt it to what ever computer you want.
