Re: SST back to real apple?

OK. I have temporarily given up on this one (temporarily, meaning I
intend to get back to it later on) I have a different but related
problem. I want to transfer 800K disk images to my IIGS. First the
images came in 2mg format. No problem (or so i thought) just load it
into emulator and create a .SHK image out of it. Ok har har, now got a
.SHK image uh.. how do i get it out of the emulator. If I had my mac
(an old 6100/66) I could use its internal superdrive to write 800K
disks and stick the disk to my IIGS. Unfortunately, someone borrowed
the unit and I am unable (at the moment) to get a hold of it. Would
there be a way to segment the large (400+K) file in the emulator into
140k pieces, this way I could transfer them using ADT and re-combine
them on the IIGS. Or if there were some way to extract the prodos
file into a standard PC file in the emulator. I read about some of
these in the FAQ but most of the links are already dead.
also, I think the IWM in my IIGS is broken. The IIGS is a ROM03.
firstly, any first 5 1/4 drives you attach to the built in disk port
is continously running, whether chained behind a 3.5 or direct to
port, drive 1 is continously running. I try my Duodisk, I try my disk
//c, I try my super5 teac clone same result. so right now my slots
have slot 6 set to "your card" and I use a disk II controller card.
The other problem is prodos (whether 8 or GSOS) doesnt "see" any
second 3.5 drives attached. it only sees a maximum of one 3.5" drive.
Is this normal for a rom03? or is my IWM cooked?
