I have a ton of the ENVOY modem/printer cards. Each card has two interfaces
(M/P, assuming it's modem/printer), but you can only use one or the other
via a jumper. The source I obtained these cards from used them to connect
the Apple IIe's to a serial printer, so they're currently configured with
the jumper on the "P" position. It comes with a DB-25 female interface
attached to the card via a 26-pin ribbon cable. There are two DIP switch
blocks, labeled SW1 and SW2, each with 8 switches. Seeing they were used for
printing, I'm assuming the DIP switches on the cards are currently set for
that purpose, however I'd like to start using them as a modem interface
card. This card doesn't seem to be documented well on the web, and I
searched the A2 FAQs and came up with nothing. The only tidbit of
information I could find is that the card is SSC compliant. Could someone
please post the DIP switch settings for this card, and any additional
information about the card? It would be even greater if one of the DIP
switch settings set the card between modem and terminal like the SSC II card
does, so that I could use it with ADT and without a null modem cable.
Thanks!
